What is Primal Fitness?
According to the dictionary the word Primal means original or of first importance. Primal Fit Miami’s philosophy is to get away from the technologically driven machine based fitness industry and get back to the ORIGINAL and most IMPORTANT Primal Movement Patterns such as the squat, bend, lunge, push, pull, twist, and gait (walking, jogging, sprinting).
Primal Movement Patterns are used in our everyday lives, at work, and in all the sports we play. They are the foundation for most movements we perform. These 7 Primal Pattern Movements were necessary for our ancestors to survive. Prior to modern times, anyone who could not perform these patterns would have a limited chance of surviving in the wild. Because humans have been using these movement patterns for thousands of years, they are far less prone to causing injury and nothing can sideline a fitness goal like an injury can.
Primal Fit Miami has created the ultimate training environment that takes the best of all training methods and puts them into a truly comprehensive routine that is specific to sport and everyday living. This is PRIMAL, FUNCTIONAL, MOVEMENT based fitness using traditional tools such as your bodyweight and Dumbbells to non-traditional tools like Kettlebells, Ropes, Sleds, Tires and monkey bars.

Are You a Cross Fit or Boot Camp?
No. Primal Fit Miami (PFM) is a structured, progressive Strength and Conditioning system that keeps you standing and moving. We are NOT Cross Fit affiliated nor are we a body building or machine based program. We believe that each of us is an athlete in one way or another and you will be trained like one. Using your body weight and cutting edge tools and techniques we will PREVENT injury, get you in the best shape of your life all while helping you move better, feel better and look better!

Our coaches have over 30 years of in the trenches hands-on experience and our passion for learning never stops. We want you to know that the field of exercise science changes rapidly and unfortunately it’s mostly for the worst. It is for this reason that we have stayed clear of much of the latest exercise fads that are commonly present in the media and the majority of larger fitness establishments. PFM coaches are a “new school” breed that takes an “old school” PRIMITIVE approach… We believe in working hard, but smart. We believe in being strong but mobile. Can I Try a Workout for Free?
We’re sorry but there are no free workouts. There are several reasons for this. One, is that our service has a guarantee, so there’s no point in a free workout when you can request a refund after joining if you don’t like our style. Also, we may have a waiting list to join our studio so it’s important not to wait to contact us, as open slots tend to fill quickly. Assuming we have space available, potential new clients can come watch a LIVE group in action. Just call and let us know that you’re coming!
Once I Join, Can I Come in and Workout Whenever I’d Like?
No, sorry. PFM is a Private facility that is only open during the scheduled small group sessions or by appointment only. But don’t worry, most of our members are busy professionals like you, and sessions are scheduled to provide plenty of flexibility for our members to take full advantage of our trainings.
Do I Have to Change my Diet?
That depends. How’s your diet working for you now? In order to train here it’s critical that you work towards making numerous life-style changes to achieve goals YOU define to us and then we help you do just that. Your nutrition is only one piece of a very big puzzle.
How Can a Fitness Coach Help Me?
Investing in a Fitness Coach provides many benefits, the biggest being accountability. We also provide a structured, safe training environment that ensures proper exercises are done correctly with the right intensity, load, volume and rest period. Simply put, you won’t be guessing or flying by the seat of your pants anymore. We may be “primal” but it’s all backed by real science. Results are proven at PFM, all you need to do is show up!
How Long is a Typical Workout at Primal Fit Miami?
All workout sessions last 60 minutes. Done properly, you don’t need to be exercising for hours on end.
I’m a Novice, Can You Still Help Me?
Absolutely! Because we keep the groups to no more than 8 people max with 2 Coaches on site, we are able to scale and modify workouts based on exercise level and health history. We never over-work a novice client and at the same time we will not UNDER-work an advanced client.
Can You Help Me If I Have An Injury?
This depends on the severity of the injury but many of our clients have ailments that we are either able to fix or work around. One of the benefits of being a client of PFM is that we work very hard at preventing injury from happening in the first place. We put a great deal of emphasis on improving mobility, flexibility and the quality of each client’s muscle tissue. The goal is not only to look good at PFM, it’s to improve quality of life through feeling better and moving better as well.
What’s The Investment?
The prices are dependent on length of commitment (3,6 or 12 months) and training sessions (2, 3 or 4) per week. Our rates are higher than most places out there, but the value provided is as well. If this is disturbing or a turnoff, then we are probably not a match. But, if this makes sense to you, as it does to all of our many members, then see the next question.
